To sell on Mercado Libre International, you need a Global Selling account. There are three requirements: a company formed in the United States (for example, an LLC), an email address that has never been used on Mercado Libre, and a contact phone number and email. With the invitation from our Mercado Libre partner, which we use at CBT Labs, the platform from the Automeli group, your account is ready in 1 to 3 business days.
What is Mercado Libre Global Selling?
It is the Mercado Libre program for selling in several countries from one account: Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Argentina. Your company gets paid in US dollars and doesn't need a separate account in each country. People often call it "Mercado Libre International."
What are the requirements to sell on Mercado Libre International?
- A company formed in the United States, for example an LLC. If you already have one, it works; if not, you can form one.
- An email address that has never been used on Mercado Libre, neither to buy nor to sell. You create the new account with that email.
- A contact phone number and email for your company, where we can reach you.

How do you open your Global Selling account faster?
We work with a Mercado Libre partner that creates Global Selling accounts by invitation. Besides a faster process, your company's account starts with advantages that an account opened through the regular sign-up doesn't have:

To request your invitation, fill in our form with your US company name, the full name of its owner or representative, the email for the new account, a contact email and a phone number.
What happens after you request the invitation?
- We pass your details to our Mercado Libre partner.
- Within 1 to 3 business days, the invitation arrives at the account's email. Check your spam folder too.
- You open the invitation and finish the registration on Mercado Libre.
What if your company isn't formed in the United States yet?
This is the requirement that takes the longest, so start with it. If you already have a company in another country, the LLC doesn't replace it: the LLC is a separate company, used only to operate on Global Selling.
